Jemma Parker joins our Administration Team

We are excited to have Jemma recently join our admin team to replace Denise who retired in December after 21 years at the practice. Jemma brings experience from a wide variety of industries to her five days per week role. She has a friendly demeanour, a fun sense of humour and very impressive tech skills. We are enjoying Jemma's "can-do" attitude and her happy enthusiasm on the team.

Appointment Availability

We are pleased that our availability has improved compared to the previous two years. Telehealth appointments are currently easier to obtain than face to face appointments with selected psychologists. This can be a good way to get started with a transition to face to face appointments later. We are unable to take on new referrals if appointments after 4pm are required as all psychologists are currently oversubscribed in these time slots. We anticipate that more spaces will become available after Easter and the school holidays. As usual our efficient waiting list system is providing appointments sooner for those people who are lucky enough to be flexible with times they can attend.

Synchronicity Spirituality and Thriving Seminar

Chris and Lisa Buksbaum, a fellow board member from The Coincidence Project, shall jointly present a one-hour seminar on "Synchronicity, Spirituality and Thriving" at 8:30am Geelong/Melbourne time on Wednesday, March 15th (or 5:30pm on Tuesday, 14th March in New York, from where Lisa will present). Synchronistic experiences can help us relate to a spiritual dimension in life, with significant health benefits. Spirituality can be found in nature, music, or the awe-inspiring moments in everyday life. In these turbulent times, learning to cultivate and draw on synchronicity can enhance your wellbeing in meaningful and tangible ways.

Launch Party for The Coincidence Project

The Launch Party for The Coincidence Project was held online on the 19th of February. The Coincidence Project is a global non-profit founded to encourage people to share their stories of synchronicity and meaningful coincidences. TCP was founded by Bernard Beitman, MD and Juliet Trail, PhD. They gathered a cohort of “Coincidence Ambassadors” – writers, researchers, therapists and other professionals with a deep background in the experience and study of coincidence, synchronicity and serendipity. Chris Mackey is a Coincidence Ambassador on the project and is chairperson of the Event Committee which organises monthly seminars and other activities that will be advertised on the TCP website.

Farewell to Jennifer Green
We recently farewelled Jen from the psychology team. Jen joined us from Alice Springs at the start of 2021 and is moving on due to changing life circumstances.  We wish her well in her future endeavours and appreciate her contribution during the two years she was with us.
